How to change a location template

This article describes how to change a location specific template. This are the variations of the template that are applied only to an specific template. For more information see here.

Step-by-step guide

1. Go to the site details whose template needs to be changed. This can be done in one of the following ways:

   1. Using the text search box on the top right corner

      1. Put the name of the site on the search box
         
         

         Open

         

      2. Select the site

      3. Click on the site name and select "Show/Edit Details"
         
         

         Open

         

   2. Using the Organization / Sites

      1. Go to Organization / Sites

      2. Look for the site that needs to be changed. Use the search box if needed

      3. Click on the the Details button
         
         

         Open

         

2. Once on the details page, go to Gateways
   
   

   Open

   

3. There, click on the "Location changes" to go to the location template
   

   
   
   
   

4. Once on the location template, edit whatever site specific change needs to be done

   1. Click + on the sensor/device/actio/rule to be edited
      
      

      Open

      

   2. Select the element to be edited
      
      

      Open

      

   3. Click "Toggle SU/normal mode" to go to edit mode
      
      

      Open

      

   4. Click on the parameter to be edited
      
      

      Open

      

   5. Edit and save

5. Go to Management, Provisioning, Deploy and deploy the template
