Roles

In this menu you can manage monitoring role settings. Roles can be assigned to accounts in order to limit the monitoring views for appropriate user.

To edit or create a new or existing role, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the Administration Web Interface > Configuration > Roles and click on “Create new Role” or select an existing one (see picture below)
  2. Enter your settings or changes, as described in the table below and click on  to save the changes.

    Allow to enable following role properties


    Display/hide SONARPLEX node info table of monitoring GUI.


    Display/hide host status total info box and appropriate information like Monitoring GUI menu items (Monitoring > Tactical, Monitoring > Summary, Monitoring > Grid, Reports > Trends in the User Web Interface).


    Display/hide service status total info box an appropriate information. 


    Display/hide host details and appropriate information like Monitoring GUI menu items (Information > Downtimes, Information > Comments in the User Web Interface).


    Display/hide service details and appropriate information.


    Display/hide host SONARPLEX and all related services.

Please note that only roles defined here can be assigned to accounts.
