Addons and Plugins

You can easily extend SONARPLEX with Addons and Plugins. The differentiation between both lie in their scope.

• Plugins extend the SONARPLEX with check methods to monitor specific applications or devices, e.g. check_icmp_adv2 or check_radius_adv
• Addons extend the SONARPLEX with extra functionality, e.g. interfacing with video cameras (Video-Harvester, Camera Addon), exporting raw event and performance data (Data Exporter)

Both are generally referred to as extension and can be managed by either the Open the Administration Web Interface or the SONARMANAGER
